Gold Ribbon Award
Congratulations!
Arroyo Verde was recently awarded a Gold Ribbon from the California Department of Education. The Gold Ribbon Award replaces the CA Distinguished School Award. We were also just named as a Title I Academic Achievement Award winner. Congratulations to all our students, families and staff for receiving these amazing honors!

Safe Routes

WOW - Walk on Wednesdays!
Earn Prizes with Safe Routes to School

Join our PTA as we walk to school on Wednesdays! A parent led group will be meeting at the EHR trail on Water St at 7:30 am and walking to school. Students can register with our walk to school program, scan in, and WIN!

The process to receive your prize is simple:

1. Register your student through the Safe Routes website at
http://arroyoverde.active4.me/.

2. At the end of the registration, simply print out the confirmation with your student's name, Safe Routes bar code and return to the classroom teacher.

3. Forms can be given to our Walk to School coordinator, or dropped off in the office.

4. The scanner is setup in the cafeteria!  Bar code tags that can be attached to backpacks will be given to each registered student and the can scan in every day to participate!

Students do not have to walk from Water St. They can walk from any location although we ask that it be further than the parking lot. A quick email will be sent to the parent to let you know that your child arrived safely!
NEU
Arroyo Verde Elementary is a part of the
No Excuses University Network of Schools.

To earn membership into this prestigious network of “like-minded” schools, Arroyo Verde needed to complete an extensive online application focused on the “Six Exceptional Systems” the school has developed based on the No Excuses University model. The school also was required to submit a video to the No Excuses University Application Committee to demonstrate the “Culture of Universal Achievement” they have developed on their campus.

Arroyo Verde earned the recognition by demonstrating a commitment to college readiness and through efforts to ensure all children meet standards in reading, writing and math, no matter their challenges. To continue this partnership, Arroyo Verde must continue to demonstrate high levels of success within the six systems. Arroyo Verde is proud to be a part of a growing No Excuses Network of Schools across the country.
