Many of Arroyo Verde parents/guardians want to volunteer during the school year; and we are extremely grateful for this! Whether you're the volunteer that's in the classroom weekly helping prep crafts or working with students, or wanting to attend a field trip, etc., we need you to complete the RAPTOR Volunteer Application prior to being approved in addition to other steps outlined below. You can scan the QR code below to get started now, or click on THIS LINK to go directly to the application.
Volunteering requires prior arrangements with a teacher and the office being notified. Any parent who will be in the classroom or wanting the opportunity to attend a field trip must be Board Approved and have fingerprints completed and cleared through the Department of Justice (DOJ). This means all documentation needs to be submitted 4-6 weeks prior to the field trip to ensure you're cleared. In addition, please note that all volunteers approved to attend field trip will be required to provide their own transportation as volunteers may not ride the school bus with students.
If this is your first time volunteering, you will need proof a negative TB test within the past 60 days. If you have volunteered in prior years, your TB test has to be within the past 2 years. Jennifer Budnik, our Office Manager, can help look this up for you if needed. It is required to complete the RAPTOR Volunteer Application each and every school year as well.
If you have any questions about the volunteer process, please feel free to reach out to our office at (909)307-5590 between 7:00am-3:30pm. As a reminder, classroom teachers are not required to have volunteers within their classrooms. If you want to help, we can always find a space for you! Volunteers will not be allowed on campus the first few weeks of school as the entire process including the RAPTOR application, verification of negative TB test, finger prints through the DOJ and Board Approval must first occur. The sooner you complete submitting the first three items, the sooner we can get you on the Board agenda. We can't wait to have you be a part of your student's educational journey!
